Nope, I’m not from Laganas, however I just got back from zante, however generally the weather all over Greece in September is still great and hot. Maybe in the evening it becomes a little chilly, however not much.

Were goin to laganas zante, and I’ve been told you cannot do watersports in laganas because of the turtles.. Where is the nearest place we could go that does do them? Cheers.

You are right, Laganas Beach does not offer water sports because of the turtles. But it is possible to takes trips to other parts of the island. There are free buses running down to St Nickolaos beach everyday, and you can have water sports there. http://www.justzante.co.uk/beachguide.asp?beach=st_nicholas

I went last year for about £300. Booked with Thomas Cook, went into a travel agent. Maybe you can get it online cheaper though.

Holiday was fun apart from the food poisoning! lol.

yup. its very pretty!
from the airport its about 5 miles. however you can only go from may to october. its hotel situated on just 300 metres from Laganas`s pretty beach famous for its loggerhead turtles which swim in the sea nearby. The resort centre with its range of bars and clubs is a few steps away. This hotel will appeal to couples, singles and families looking for a hotel close to the beach and resort centre. While on holiday in Zante you may get to see the famous turtles. its fun to ride on their backs!

There are no water sports available here, the turtles take priority. There is a range of bars and nightlife nearby for the young people as well as a selection of traditional and more entertainment. The main town of Zakynthos is just a few miles away and offers a great opportunity to shop and explore the habour and narrow streets. You must take pictures of those turtles! they are so cute!!

there is a nice outdoor swimming pool with a sun terrace and a restaurant as well as a bar.

I did Zante about 12 years ago. Loved it.

I hired a moped for the holiday, quite cheap transport. I went up to Smugglers cove by road.

Am surprised the boat is still there. I did a few boat trips, Blue Lagoon being one of them. Take mask and snorkel as the water there is crystal clear and well worth the dip.

loved kalamaki it is a 30 to 40 minutes walk along the beach however there are some lovely restaurants and bars in kalamaki no need to go to laganas best time to see the turtles is about 6.00pm along the beach
