Am going on Holiday to Zante next week (if there is no ash cloud, lol). I have heard there are riots and that they are urging people not to go there. Is this just mainland Greece or the islands too?

As far as I’m aware the riots are taking place in Athens on the Greek mainland. Zante is some distance away and the locals will welcome you as they need their tourists!

It depends on where you stay…. Expensive or reasonably priced.

Of course if you go to the islands like Mykanos you are going to find that money goes rather quickly.

Take about 2,000 dollars and try to spend about 0 min a day.
That should even be more then enougph money probably for 5 weeks.

If you have, what was it like. Is it within walking distance to the nightlife and generally was the hotel a nice place to stay. As much info as possible is appreciated as me and 3 mates are staying there next month. Also, will the resort still be lively at the end of Aug/Mid Sept?
