Thinking of going to Kefallonia or Zante with me fella (kids not going!) in Aug, first holiday in years. Can someone recommecd a resort or hotel. We like nite life, bars, restaurants however not thumping clubs. Is self catering or all inclusive best. Cheers x

go to kefalonia with olympic holidays i used to be a rep for them and some of my old collegues are out there now and its well romantic and nice and really try self catering that way you can go out and eat in different places and try new things that way your not restricted!!!

Hi all i have been trying to find some reviews on the caretta beach in zante as i am flying out there next week and the only ones i can find are on there own site and to be honest there not going to put anything bad on there are they!!!!!!

if someone has been can you let me know what its like there in regards to cleanliness, entertainment ect, ect

depends what your looking for realy,entertainment wise its best to head to a main city on the island,caretta is a nice enough beach hotel however no realy a 5 star get away hotel.expect package deal hoildays familys and drunken teenagers,still very tourishy,i stayed near Laganas and the beach there is fine,its still very busy with the club 18-30 types and calms down near end of month….

There is no way it has asbestos, I done a tour of it a couple of years back and do people really believe they would allow this if there was the slightest inclination of asbestos being their ?

i went for a week this year with some mates, was awesome you’ll enjoy it. i brought 450 (euros) and had 50 left over. better to bring too much than not enough though. also depends what you wana do, im guessing you’re going for the drinking, clubbing etc. that was only spending money though, the hotel, flights etc was already covered. and no they dont ask for id over there as far as i know, you will be fine.

I wouldnt recomend you to go there, since is from the worst apartments in Laganas.They are in good location however the apartments are bad.

@She doesn’t have a mobile? (duh).

I cannot find the tel, you should call the company she travelled with and they ll give you the telephone

It was in oct usual lengthy wait outside however its covered not like it used to be! its like a cattle shed in side and very little seating, however it was ok and i travelled with a four yr old.
